Hi, I'm Justine
I came from a split family. My mom and dad both have narcissistic tendencies and their relationship was not healthy to say the least. I grew up being terrified of my dad, he was the typical "I'll give you something to cry about" dad of the 1990's. I was never physically abused, but as a coping mechanism I fell into the ‘forgotten middle child’ role and became a top tier people pleaser.
My mom married a man who was much younger than her and was certainly not ready to have three daughters. He was an alcoholic and mentally and emotionally abusive to my mom while my sisters and I lived at home. After leaving for college, I quickly realized he was physically abusive to my mom as well.
I grew up watching men manipulate women. Abuse them for their benefit and disregard their worth all together. So, I married the same type of man.
I spent 14 years in an abusive relationship with a narcissist. I finally found my way out when a friend helped me to see the truth of my relationship. I found the strength to leave for my daughters. At the time they were 3 and 6 and I could not imagine raising them in such a hateful and toxic environment. I suffered severely from PTSD from the constant mental abuse, plus PPD, severe depression and generalized anxiety. At one point, I had to see a doctor because I was having thoughts of harming myself and my children. I needed out.
After grieving the loss of the life I thought I would have, I stood back up and started my recovery. I spent time in therapy, I spent time with my amazing support system and finally, I found the time to further my education through certification courses in the field of 'life coaching.'
Since 2018, I have been a recovering people pleaser and have found forgiveness for not only my abuser, but for myself. I began my spiritual journey and was able to find my soul's purpose, helping women like me.
My dream is to help women see that their partners may in fact be abusing them, even if they’re not hitting them. To help them find the self that they lost by being a people pleaser. To help them feel empowered to make the hard decisions and equipped to take action if needed. I want to teach them that there is happiness out there and they’re the ones who are in charge of it. I would also like to be pre-emptive by speaking to teenagers (my daughters are now 10 and 13) about emotional intelligence and teaching them how to not be manipulated by the people in their lives.

"There is happiness out there, and you're in control of it!"
